Re: My New Ride!!!! :D

Thankyou all for your great comments. I am so happy, I almost can't hold it inside!! Anyway, the stars are finally aligning, things are going my way. I graduated, I got the job, I got a new vehicle! I am thankful to have this forum (even though my time has been cut way down, due to life in general... ha). Sadly I do not think that I will put the horns on this one... I think it will take away from the "newness" but who knows I will be putting the whip antennas on there though! My old truck has 2 people already wanting to buy it! And i've already sold my mote carlo. Seriously guys, my luck went pretty bad, but its gone through the roof lately, and I couldn't be more happy. I have finally got something I purchased, a big purchase, something that I will take care of, its my new pride and joy. I do have a few mods in the future planned for it:

billet grill
dif bowtie decal in the grill
BF goodwrich A/T tires
American Racing Nitro Rims???
(of course this is all down the road)

It has been ranining for the past day and a half here, so the pics arn't the best... but take a look!

I was... sort of. But I made up my mind that I wanted a truck, because I want a boat (possibly next summer). I am actually getting better fuel economy as well. So its a win win for me

Re: My New Ride!!!! :D

I want a brush bar similar to yours, but something about yours I just don't like. There's a facelifted GMT-800 Avalanche around here with a nicer on it, but I would want a black one for my truck. I think it's the bars in the middle bending and the way it comes around the lights, just doesn't look quite right or something. If i haden't seen the other one I wouldn't be able to tell any difference.

As for your Bow-Tie paint it to match the body, but do it right, like I did! Take it apart and paint the inside, that way it won't chip.

(PICS SOON!)
Find out what is? Mine does the same. I figure that it is the rack.

Looks nice. Glad things are going your way.

Its the smaller line of the two that connect to the power steering pump. (Not the return line). The line costs about $40, and is pretty simple to replace, but you do need a special flare tool. I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow to get it replaced. You can tell if its the hose, usually what happens is pin holes form around the hose in some point (mine being around where the hose ends and the metal piping begins). You may have to take off the plastic shroud that covers the hose itself.

Good luck!

Re: My New Ride!!!! :D

Tonight I polished all of the chrome except the side step bars, and fixed the tonneau cover. I also put my rapala decal on it

Re: My New Ride!!!! :D

I've already put on a good 200 miles since i've got it. If the gauge is reading correctly and it holds true (which for most vehicles it does until 1/2 tank), I have gotten a little over 135 miles to a 1/4 tank. I'm not sure how big the tank is yet, but im guessing upper 20's low 30's. Waaaaay better fuel economy!

Doesn't yours have the real time and accumulated MPG read out in the driver information center? Mine does.

My 04 doesn't have it a MPG read out. I wish it did. My truck gets about 18MPG.

You can take the bowties apart? I took mine off, but I don't know how you could take it apart.

Upper 20s, low 30s? Sorry but you won't get that.

Nice new truck...
