Re: My new Grand Prix

Congratulations! They look great in black.
I take it it's the supercharged GT? Although the wheels are different and I see no GT badge on the back.
I love my 06 GT. So much fun to drive!

Re: My new Grand Prix

Nope it's the 200 HP N/A 3.8. The GT's are a little too expensive and they're very hard to find now. Plus, the GT has too much power for me lol.

But superchargers are so much fun!
I'm surprised that you have the double exhaust on the NA- that threw me off.

Re: My new Grand Prix

I have the Driver's package on it so it includes the dual exhaust, fog lights, remote start, 16 inch polished aluminum rims, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and leather wrapped shifter. Superchargers are fun, but there's the cost factor and the N/A 3.8L V6 has tons of power and brings the GP up to speed with little effort that makes it just as much fun.

So first you get your L or Learner's License which you take a knowledge test for and must display a red L sign. When I got my L the rules at the time were you have it for 1 year or 9 months if you take a driving school program so I went with Young Driver's. You have to drive with an adult at all times and may have an additional passenger and you couldn't drive between midnight and 5 am, zero blood alcohol etc.

Then I took a roadtest to get my N or novice license which I passed and then I have to display a green N sign for 2 years (I have just over a year left) and can only have 1 passenger along with me unless it's an adult then I can have the max allowed in my car or immediate family, zero blood alcohol etc. At the time that I got it I didn't get any time reductions because I got it with my L but now with the N you can get a reduction on the time if you go with a driving school program.

Then I'll have to go for a final roadtest to get my regular or Class 5 license.
Congrats on all of it, and a great Grand Prix.

Now you'll have to come see us at a Lions football game, and take us for a drive.

I know what a difficult life eh. I drove to the video store to return the DVD "I think I love my wife" and I came back to my car and there was this minivan to the left with me and I glanced over and there was this mom and her daughters and they were checking me out and my car lol!

Congrats on your new ride. Excellent colour choice, and the GP is a great ride.

Sweet car. My mom has a 2006 Grand Prix SE and it is fun to drive.

Congrats on the purchase.

Wow, congrats on your car. Did you buy it, or did your parents get it for you?

I leased it, I wouldn't buy again because used cars are so hard to sell and you lose so much money trading in. I pay for what I use on the lease and then once I'm done with the car, I hand it in and get a new one. If I was keeping the car for 10 years, I'd definitely buy it, but since I only want to drive it for 3-4 years, there's no point. I'm on a 48 month lease with 1% lease rate.

Re: My new Grand Prix

Congrats, I love GP's. I have logged many a mile in on a S/C 3800 GTP! GP's are sweet cars S/C or not.

No, but I know a few of them if you'd like to meet some of them. They are great guys.

Quarterback Buck Pierce do? Just say the word. I'm sure he'd like to meet you. By the way, he has a killer Tahoe.

Re: My new Grand Prix

Thanks for the offer, when I get a chance (I'm pretty busy right now unfortunately), I'll let you know. The reason why I was asking is because a lot of the BC Lions go to this Caribbean restaurant in Whalley.
