Re: My new Grand Prix

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it. The gas mileage isn't bad, about the same as my last Grand Prix give or take a MPG but it's been getting broken in so I hope that it will increase.

Re: My new Grand Prix

I think the green N should stand for Noob. That would be awesome.

Anyway, glad you like it, I see them day in and day out being that I work at a pontiac dealer, so I am seriously burnt out on all of GM's cars, but they are very good vehicles. Enjoy!

Re: My new Grand Prix

It was a year ago today that I became the proud owner/lessee of my Grand Prix. Unfortunately I was in the hospital at the time so I didn't get to drive it until the 20th - however it certainly gave me a reason to get better fast and get out of there!

Fast forward a year and I am still enjoying my Grand Prix very much and it's been a real pleasure to have (I don't like to say own as I'm leasing it). This is good coming from me since this is my 3rd car and I'm in my late teens. It's not that I hated my other cars, it's just that I like change and get tired of the same old thing all the time. So far I am not tired of it!

Things I like about my Grand Prix are:
-Performance from the 3.8L V6
-Ride Quality, handling and braking
-Throaty dual exhaust
-Relatively good fuel economy
-High level of standard equipment for the price
-Great reliability (it has been trouble free for me and the Grand Prix has won Best Large Car for Initial Quality by J.D. Power 3 years in a row)
-Well laid out controls
-Comfortable seats
-Wide opening rear doors

Things I don't like about my Grand Prix are:
-Exterior color: I have black and while it's great when it's clean, most of the time it looks dirty and it shows scratches and rock chips big time. I will never get a black car again.
-Cloth seats: While the cloths seats in the Grand Prix are attractive, they are almost impossible to clean. I had cloth seats in my other Grand Prix and they weren't as bad - however I had leather seats in my Alero and loved them so I have decided that my next car has to have leather seats.

I realize that the gripes that I have with my Grand Prix are probably gripes that I would have had with another car. Honestly it really is hard for me to find things wrong with it. I mean it's not perfect, however, it fully meets all of my expectations and I like it a lot.

After having the Grand Prix for a year, I would easily recommend it. 08 is the last year for the Grand Prix which means that people can easily score a good deal on one which makes it an even better value. The Pontiac G8 which replaces the Grand Prix is better in a lot of ways - however it's rather costly in my opinion and uses more gas.

Anyway here's to another great year with my Pontiac Grand Prix.
