My latest GM!
I'm back in the extended family of current GM owners. I've had it for a few days, actually. Some of you asked for pics so here are a handful.
1995 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado. 6.5 turbodiesel. I absolutely love this truck. Much more comfy than my Ford (which has a bench seat and noisy exhaust)... and I am actually warming up to the slushbox. I appreciate having my right hand to hold the drink I'm sipping (in my other vehicles, shifting gears with a drink sometimes produced spillings), or the snack I'm eating, or my cellphone, etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: My latest GM!
P.S. That tan/beige/brownish color is my favorite GM color ever, so I was really glad when I found out which color the truck was.
P.S. #2 Just FYI, the strange non-dirty rectangle on the doors = the previous owner's magnetic company stickers (which he removed when I picked up the vehicle). |

Re: My latest GM!
My good, old, not-so-trusty WVO setup (which I kept when I sold my old Golf) is ready to be installed on that rig. Probably this coming weekend. The little tank (made from an empty five gallon) is Golf-sized, not GMT400-sized, but I think it'll do for now. I'll just fill up often.
I'm also going to have to show you guys pics of the trailer ![]() Here's the Golf trunk (pic from a couple years ago). Easy fit in the Silverado... and I'll even have leftover cargo capacity. ![]() |

Re: My latest GM!
Those were my dream trucks as a little kid. Big'ol Chevy diesel, preferably dually and a crew cab (at that age, the biggest thing I could find next to a Tonka truck was cool).

Re: My latest GM!
Perhaps I should have noted that your neighborhood, rather than all of Canada, is very neat, clean, and tidy.
