My First Car =]
I've been a member of this website to look around once in a while but I figure that I'll start posting around here and there.
Anyways... I got my license on August 24th, 2007 and I got a 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe on August 18th, 2007. Its a 39 month lease. It has everything except for leather & onstar but i didn't want leather because i love the sporty style cloth the g6 comes with. ![]() the day I got it, sitting on the lot ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pics at home, after washing it for the first time ![]() ![]() About 4,400 miles later... I have a scuff on the back bumper which I got from hitting a parked car in the rain in December. The cars tires also have terrible traction in the rain and snow and will wind up replacing them sooner or later. They are Continental ContiTouringContact CV95 'Allseason' tires Other than this the car is still perfect =] Also, btw, does anyone know if the GM Vehicle Care Products are any good? I'm trying to find really good car wash concentrates and other cleaning products and I would appreciate it if you guys could recommend some for me. First car eh? She sure is a looker.
GM donated a G6 Hardtop Convertible to our ASEP program here at my college, and I've worked on it plenty of times. She never gets old to look at, but she's a pain in the a$$ to work on. |

Wow, pretty nice car for a first vehicle. Hurts when you ding it up though, huh?
I use Meguire's products alot. Their waxes are really good IMO. As for soap, I use the thickest concentrate I can find at Auto Zone.

Re: My First Car =]
My first was my 91 Firebird my uncle caught for 200 bucks with the 3.1 + a blown headgasket. Got it cheap from a little old lady who didn't want it in her backyard anymore. Great interior and exterior, only a few dings and some rust on the bottom. Boy, she's a looker...and with a new(to me) 350 she's my best friend (but don't tell the gf
)My technically-first car that I bought myself was my 1976 Cadillac DeVille. I have a very select taste in cars. =) |

Re: My First Car =]
My first car was a Pontiac also. My current one is the 3rd Pontiac. My first one was the 92 Sunbird which have NEVER broke down despite having 2 accidents with it.
Sweet Ride, Congrats and I hope you have many, many happy miles with it. Also, glad to see a fellow northern New Jerseyan with the new Pontiac. ![]()

Nice car. Very nice!
Good choice in color. Keep it clean, black gets dirty fast.

Re: My First Car =]
You are one lucky person to get that for a first car. I hope you appreciate what your folks are doing for you and take care of it. Congratulations.
