You did, but the burning question remains. Why did he name it Betty?

It could have been worse! He could have named it CHRISTINE like I did when I had my "award-winning Motor Trend Car of the Year" 1999 Chrysler 300M. She was JUST like the car in the Stephen King movie by the same name! UGH! Soap opera story/nightmare in my geocities page below.

Re: MY 08 Malibu

I love the black!
I just bought an 08 2lt bu in the imperial blue metallic and love it. It is also hard to keep clean in the snow here in PA. I will post pics when I can get it clean and the snow stops.
I opted for the v6 but how does the i4 feel? I was worried that it wouldn't be enough for such a heavy car.

Congrats on the new care! If you got the Cocoa/Cashmere interior, you've just bought the exact Malibu I would order. I like the 2LT better than the LTZ.

Re: MY 08 Malibu

I got the Titanium Sheer. They only had 2 Malibu's to choose from but I think I would have liked the cocoa as well. The other one they had was an LTZ with the Ebony / Brick which I didn't like at all. IMO I think it makes it look less luxurious. The funny thing was that the 2lt I bought had every option but the sunroof which made it about the same price. The rear power package is a must by when you go on long road trips.

Congrats! I love the wheels on the 2LT, much sportier.

We are shopping now and we narrowed it down between an 08 Malibu and a 08 G6 Coupe.

Re: MY 08 Malibu

I want this car, but my 2002 corolla is paid off and my wife would not be happy if I bought a new car. The problem is, it still drives like a new car, its clean inside out, there is nothing about it to justify selling

Re: MY 08 Malibu

I find no lack of power in the I4 for my style of driving. The only thing I find different
from the v6 in my old Maxx to this car, is it up shifts more frequently while cruising at highway speeds. Perhaps the lower torque in the I4 or the fact its hilly here may account for it. Have had no problems with car so far , other than the front grill bowtie being replaced as it had cracked and warped. She now has her 12 exterior bowties intact again. lol

Re: MY 08 Malibu

Only thing that doesn't fly 100% with me is the headlights. For some reason they're more cartoon-like than I'd like. A little more streamlined would make the car impeccable.

Beautiful, beautiful cars. Why anyone would consider an Accord/Camry over this is beyond my realm of comprehension.
