AH. Much happier? While you moved out, I moved further towards downtown now.

Congratulations MRSshadams,

You will love that car for many years if the older Commodores are any indication.

Well, I am finally a GM Owner.

Re: MRSSHADAMS 09 G8 GT Pics

So I havent always been a huge fan of the G8 19" wheels, but only because of the black center cap. It's not the end of the world, just think it looks out of place. So I bought a spare and did this to it, tell me what you think...

I agree, much better!

I really, really, really wish I could pick up a loaded GT before they're all gone.

Congrats, MRSSHADAMS, great looking car.

A shame that GM FINALLY got it right with this car, then couldn't wait to kill it, along with Solstice, Sky, G6......

GM reminds me of Plexico Burris most of the time recently. Aim at foot, fire at foot.

Hehe, yea, I know. She is really against me doing anything else to it,other than the exhaust, as we both wanted it. But one day she is going to come home and say "hey, all of a sudden my car is much faster." I'll just smile and say "Oh yea, I added super unleaded last time I filled it up, must be that..."

Its not liek she even knows what one looks like....***hides behind something***

As far as how we like it, I cant get her out of it. I am scared to even bring up me taking it to wrok one day, I dont even finish the sentence before she says NO. But, but NO, I need to change the NOOOO. But baaaaaaaabbbee, NOOO.

Is that a powder coat? Silver paint and clear coat? How did you get that done? It looks great.

The first part of your post explains the last part, dont you think?

Beyond that, I have a 30+ mile commute down a curvy country highway, and my car is a heck of a lot more fun to drive than the truck!

I just popped out the emblem, cleaned them up, sanded them with 800, then 1000, then sprayed them with a duplicolor auto paint I just happend to have that matched perfectly. I let them dry a few hours and slapped them on. As far as how durable they are its been a couple weeks with rain and/or lots of heat and so far so good. The original ones are painted as well so I dont see it being a problem as long as they get prepped/sanded well.
