Just bought a Cadillac! '93 Sedan Deville

Heres the story: Well I use to own an '88 Cadillac Deville but I sold it for 600 bucks in the begining of this year. I owned two cars after that. A 1990 Nissan Maxima and a 1986 Toyota Supra. Both were great cars (Supra was an awsome ride!) but I missed the luxury and smooth ride I would get from my old Caddi. As well as all the attention I'd get from driving it. I started regreting that I ever sold it.
(Although I did thrash it during my final year of owning it) Anyways... I decided one day to look on craigslist for the sole purpose of just seeing whats out there and with no intention of buying another car. I then ran into an add for a 1993 Deville that was going for only 600 bucks. Usually cars at that price on craigslist are gone before I even get a chance to see it, but this guy lived far outside the county giving me the benifit. Turned out to be a gold mine for me. Its a 1993 Deville with only 134k miles. Whats kinda trippy is that its the same color as my old one, Red inside and out. I bought it for the price I sold my last one and Its the body style I had wanted since my last one.(89 to 93's are larger) and this one didnt have the fake convertable top like my old one which I didnt care for at all. So basically it reminds me of memories I had with my old one but its a better car. The interior is like new with no cracks or tears. It even has an ASC working sunroof which is rare in these cars. The reason the asking price was so low is because it needs paint, its oxidized(no big deal) and because the engine would shut off out of no where. The previous owner said its been like that since he got a fuel filter installed. I'm still trying to get that figuerd out. I plan on giving it a fresh new paint job. deep tint on all the windows, an aftermarket stereo system and throw on some 20's. Its a beautiful car and I'm happy to own it. Truly one of my favorite GM cars.

My old Deville:

and now my new Caddi:

Nice car!

Being in California, you won't have to worry about the issues we in the rust belt see with those rigs!

Burgundy on burgundy... Lovely!

I am actually trying to resist something a bit more understated

Congrats on the car. My grandmother has the same car (though it's white with a blue interior) and it's always fun to drive it around town (and work out the 4.9, which is seems more powerful than it looks on paper)

Without this car I could have been in to rice

But then again, all those cars have "fart burners" on them. That "fart burner" ads 5-10HP to your car ;some of those small Hondas can whip a Vett off the line. (from anti-rice.com)
So 115hp+10hp=430hp, at least in ricerland

Oh that brings back memories, I grew up in the back seat of one and learned how to drive in the front seat Its a shame both of them that my parent's had have been replaced over the years.

Dang dude! How can anything for $600 even run? Looks like it is in good shape, hopefully it works out for you.
