And it came out after the Fiero. It's not really related to the Fiero in any way.

I bought it as a daily driver a few years ago. It was quite possibly the least reliable daily driver I could've bought. I had it for a year and a half or so before selling it to my brother. I bought it back last year in much worse condition.

I'm going to fix it up. Things cost money though. Not everyone has lots of it lying around. I also can't work on it while it's at the garage. This is pretty much the extent of what I can do there (It's written in the lease agreement). I have to get it home to work on it. Which means that I either have to tow it or get it registered/insured. I might do the latter this week, otherwise I'll wait until next.

Compared to many Fiero's it's not that bad. It has a vacuum leak, and needs suspension work. Otherwise the rest is cosmetic.

The interior is in good shape too (the headliner looks new).

You are right though. It has been mistreated. Maybe a whole new suspension will make up for it

PS- It looks like it's gonna come home Thursday now. A week earlier than I originally planned.

See the cardomain page for more details about what I've got planned. Right now I'm focusing on getting it home, bleeding the brake lines, finding the vacuum leak and fixing whatever it is, and replacing or temporarily fixing the damaged panels in front.

I'll probably keep it relatively close to stock.

Re: The Fiero! (new pics up!)

Looks like you have some fun work ahead of you...
Myself, I just finished my Fiero's brake lines on my 85 GT, and threw in a newer style alternator (CS130)... It'll start maybe 1/10 times on its own, but the rest of the time that ive been doing 'testing' ive had to use quick-start spray... I've fixed the linkages, so now I have all 4 gears (haha)... I'm awaiting word from a contact of mine regarding a Series I L67, but I most likely will hold out for either an LQ1 dohc V6, or a Series II L67

My roommate also has a Fiero (84)... he has a Series I 3800 normally aspirated bolted up to a Cavalier 5spd sitting on a cradle dolly in the garage... once he has the time/money/effort, he'll do the wiring harness, and get the 3800 into the Fiero...

Gotta love project cars... I don't think I've seen any Fieros that would be considered 'finished' projects, as there ALWAYS seems to be something that can be made better... At least the usable parts bin is relatively large... huge plus

I always kinda liked how this model looked. Keep us posted on your progress. Would a Fiero style car be something for Pontiac to consider? Ok, nah, still a fun HMMMM thought though.
