Family Rig: 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

We traded in our 2000 Cadillac Catera for this 2006 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab 2WD. 3.5 Inline-5, Automatic, Towing Package, G80 limited slip 3.73 rear. Its a great little truck and I like driving it.

Thats a nice truck right there! Took one out before I bought 'Da Car!' and to be as small as it is, it is actually very peppy! That litttle truck has a ton of power, in a small package, even with the 4 cylinder. Also, I love the Orange! Thats the color of 'Da Car!' Hope that you get many years of solid service with her. It will be there for you-Its a Chevy!

Give us a full review in about six months. I would like to read your thoughts after living with it for a while. Congrats on the truck.

I actually quite miss that car. Its was unique and we scarcely had any major problems with it, and Im certainly aware of the horror stories people have had with them. yikes.

Darndot, i'll be sure to do that . So far I can tell you the truck is doing great at 2,000 miles and no issues. There will be a full review and update soon.

I would probably miss that car too. I rarely see any driving around.

Re: Family Rig: 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

We were over under ( think thats the phrase) on the Cadillac so that was equated into the trucks cost. Ended up at a high price because of that, around 28 If I remember. That part of the deal was known and we were prepared for that hence going for a lower cost vehicle.

The other part was some sort of mis-communication in giving us 0% down and a week later GMAC comes calling asking for $1800

Hopefully that'll never happen again. Ever.
