Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
So I pulled the trigger today, and got a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4, Black Exterior with the Slate interior. This is my "Winter Car"
I picked it up today!

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
WTF how'd you pull that off and how do you afford both?
BTW- my brother who's a senior at Rice told me that they released 6000 bouncy balls in the hallways. Mrs. Bourdreau made her class pick them up during 6th-ish hour. LMAO! What'd your class do as a prank? Apparently Mr. McDunn had 20 clocks all go off at the same in his class at 1230-ish today...hahahhahahahahahaha CobaltSS WE ARE * CLAP CLAP* BROTHER RICE* CLAP CLAP........*sigh I remember those great times...*

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
LOL, only 4-5 more years of living with them. My masters should help me get a raise that can 100% go to house payments (and down payment money before I buy the house). I will be done this time next year with it.
Of course my parents where talking of getting a place in Florida in 4 years and going down there part time. So I might not have to buy them out right away because they wouldn't be here half the year.

A little early for the winter car, or do you know something about the global warming myth that we don't know................

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
congrats on the jeep Du. And i remember my class prank (technically it was really vandalism) but some of my classmates climbed up on the roof and wrote on the skylight windows with the hot tar that the roofers left up there. The principal was livid that day especially when someone blew up a toilet later that same day

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
wouldn't blame you car thieves would come out of the woodwork the moment they saw your car. I regularly commute to eastpointe on a regular basis (I have grandparents down there). Its not that bad during the day as far as crime but once nighttime hits it can get pretty ugly outside. For a year there was a drug house right across the street from them and someone tried to break in there house one night a few years back.

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
Nice!
Still has an antenna though? I thought they'd integrated that into the window now...

New Rule: No more "pulling of the trigger". Just say "I bought a car" or something.

Re: Duspinnst's Grand Cherokee
There are a few choice upgrades I will make.
One is iPod Integration. Mopar offers a kit for $40, not bad until you realize you need the UConnect option (which I don't have). Mopar does offer a UConnect Kit for $240, so for $280 (self-installed) I can get iPod thru the radio. Pretty sure I'll do that, as for 3 years of Winters I'll need the iPod option. The second is Remote Start. All I need is the Hood Switch and Hood Switch Bracket, the harness is already there. The rest of the stuff for it I can get at work. I don't know the cost of the Switch and Bracket.
