Bought my first car, a LeBaron convertible

I was looking for a 1988-93 Jaguar XJ, but ended up buying a 1991 Chrysler LeBaron convertible. I bought the car through a friend in Germany this morning and it should arrive to Lithuania in about a week , pictures were made by the dealer, since i haven't seen the car in person yet. I paid 750 euros for the car and it will cost me 430 euros to get it to Klaipeda (where i live).

It has a 2,2 liter engine (130 kW / 177 PS) and a manual gearbox!

BTW, can anyone tell me which trim level is this?

Re: Bought my first car, a '91 LeBaron convertible

Interesting choice. Are American cars rare over there? I see a Dodge Stratus in the background, too.

I'm no expert on this era, but I'd say it's likely the GTC model.

Edit:
Apparently, it is rare:

That guy claims only 100 were made with that engine for Europe.

Re: Bought my first car, a '91 LeBaron convertible

There are lots of cloud cars, Cherokees and Ford Explorers in Lithuania, but LeBarons are very rare, i don't think i have seen more than 5 of them in my whole life. I always liked them and since i wanted a car for the summer i wanted it to either have t-tops or be a convertible. I was looking for Camaros, Firebirds/TAs and Mustangs, but neither of these cars were in my price range and i wanted a car with a manual gearbox. This LeBaron had everything i wanted and was cheap, so i bought it

Congrats on your first ride. Not a bad one at all. A Daytona with T-tops might have been cooler, but good luck finding one, especially over there!

Manual?!? Wow! Could you even get a manual in the US in a Lebaron?!? My buddy had as V6 GTC, and it was quite a nice cruising car. Have fun dude!

Oh, and I thought that you already owned a yellow Camaro!!!?!?

Cooler? You can have sex standing up in a convertible. That, too me, is cooler than a hillbilly T-Top.

I always liked hunter green with gold trim Lebaron GTCs. Nice car. They are easy to work on. Have fun.

The Camaro is owned by a friend. Maybe someday i'll have the money to buy one, but for now, the LeBaron is more than enough .

Here's another pic of the interior taken with a cell phone:

I don't know how to pronounce it in the proper American way, but i say "Kraisler" or "Kraisleris" (in lithuanian), since "C" doens't mean "K" here.

Wrong (British/Australian) way:

(it's 10 seconds into the clip)

Correct, American way:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

(it's 20 seconds into the clip)

I noticed in the grpahics for the Motorweek review of the 300 that they are among "those" ignoramuses who call a 300 a "300C" in general. I hate that. It doesn't bother me when people say Trans Am or WRX, but 300C just irritates me. Of course, Trans Am and WRX are different since people are specifically referring to those particular Firebirds and Imprezas, rather than just in general.

Anyhoo, congratulations on your car!

I know what you mean, I tend to get that way with the old Suzuki XL-7 (w/ hyphen) and the newer XL7 (no hyphen).

Congrats on the car. Did they sell the Sebring in Europe at all after the LeBaron?

That's a ****ing cool car dude. Have fun! I'm not a big Chryzler fan that really has some coolness about it

P.S. BrickTamland, what's wrong with calling them just 300C? What am I missing?
