Bought my First Buick!

ok, well its not a new buick but its still my first. Its a 1998 Buick LeSabre Limited edition. I bought it for a winter car, since my Camaro is put away for the winter and I don;t want to put too many KM's on my Canyon. I needed somthing else, so I chose a Buick.

So far in my Limited time driving it, I really like it. The car has almost every option available I think. 3.8L V6, Power Windows, Power locks, Power 6 way seats, Power mirrors, dual climate control, digital HVAC system, leather, traction control, cd and tape player, Concert sound system, steering wheel controls, and possibly more since I have not fiddled with everything yet.

Everything is in great shape execpt for some holes in the armrest, and some minor dings and scratches.

I like how the car just "Floats" down the road, and how comfy it is to drive. So anyway here it is.

I wish I could be Chauffeured around, because the backs seats are so comfy!

Canyon and the Buick

And my poor Camaro away for the winter

Re: Bought my First Buick!

Enjoy your smooth ride. I love my Buick. Can't wait to see next generation LaCrosse on EP II or the next generation Lucerne.

Now that I am home and can see the photos, nice ride. Those back seats look very comfortable.

I am in agreement that the LeSabre definately died an early death. Maybe they could reinvigorate the nameplate with a (new) great concept car and bring it back out.

Re: Bought my First Buick!

I loved the LeSabre's. I consider it one of GM's greatest blunders when they decided to ditch the Lesabre name- about as stupid as Ford and the Taurus.

Nice!

Same color exterior as my 1998 park Avenue/winter driver!

Re: Bought my First Buick!

Congrats on the new Buick! I am happy for you. You know you can buy interior dye or paint online to fix that steering wheel. The armrest can be fixed too. If you have auto upholstery shops in your area, that can be fixed too.

Congratulations, I see it has not been moved since you shine up the tires. I can see the tire shine stuff on the ground around the tires. Smooth ride and it will fly on open road when you put your foot in the tank, my Oldsmobile will and it has less HP. If its any thing like the 89 Buick LeSabres 3.8L, you'll find yourself doing 65 or more on open road when it feels like your going 55 to 58.

Re: Bought my First Buick!

The '93 I've got for the time being was bought for $450 and has 169k miles, but the leather is in great shape still. And it does just float along...so quiet and smooth, and not at all slow and that's with just 170 hp. Would be a great car to make a 100+ mph road trip with

I love those Lesabres, to bad it doesn't have the Gran Touring package, very nice car still.

What did the Gran Touring package include?

Re: Bought my First Buick!

Never was a huge fan of those Buicks, but the interior looks insanely comfortable and I'm sure the ride is very forgiving. And that, my friend, makes up for potentially subjective looks!

Your Camaro is absolutely beautiful, by the way.

It wasn't a major package, it just included a slightly stiffer suspension, P225/60R touring tires with different weels and that's it I think.
