Man, I love the point to the front end (viewed from the side)! And the huge chrome bumpers. That things got some style!

The big chrome bumper ends (called "Bumper Wings") were $800 a pop. They're hard to come by, apparently. I think they make the look.

Re: 58 Belvedere & 05 300C pic

For sure. As nice as the 300C is, it's partly relying on sheer size and bulk to get noticed. That Belvedere was 100% thought out... every detail, you can tell, is there on purpose. Not much of that anymore.

Re: 58 Belvedere & 05 300C pic

One of my uncles (and his father and grandfather before him) used to be a Dodge dealer up north in WI until from the 1920's until the late 90's. When I was a teenager and I'd be up there visiting, I'd go hang out at the dealership (lofty little store in a small tourist town) he would always remark about seeing a 57 through 61 full sized Chrysler product because of the rampant rust issues that body style experienced, as compared to the previous and suceeding versions. I'm glad to see Buick61's hasn't sufferred the fate so many predecessors have and upon seeing a Chrysler in that time frame, I always think of that. Nice shots Buick61!
