1996 Buick Riviera (Updated)

Hey just wanted to let all of you know that i got my first car today, a 1996 Buick Riviera. It's light adriatic blue metallic with a blue interior. i abosolutely love this car and the 3800 S/C motor is awesome. I know that this thread will be deemed "worthless without pics", so im going to try to get some shots of it in the coming days

Re: 1996 Buick Riviera

One of my friends has a 1995 Riviera and its a sweet little car. For being a coupe it is spacious as hell and even more comfy to boot.

The interior quality was a little weak though. Panels are falling off and shutting the door feels like you just blew up a building.

Overall its a fantastic car though. I'd love to see what Buick would do with it today.

It was most likely a victim of abuse or shoddy repairs.. The '95+ Riviera/Aurora platform was by far the stiffest GM had ever made at the time, and even today they have a reputation for being built like tanks. The cars I've ridden in felt impressively solid and had no squeaks/rattles/loose parts at all.

Too bad it's front-wheel drive though; that's a deal-breaker for me.

I was starting to suspect that, as just by looking at the car, despite a few cost-cutting things, it felt and looked like a very solid car.

Buddy that's awesome! Man, that's a true GM fans driveway! That Rivieria is a great car... I always liked that interior, with all the little round vents. Normally I wouldn't like a blue interior, but it goes perfectly with the exterior blue. I love the big pug-nosed front end and super-long rear end... that's true Buick styling to me! Enjoy!

Oh, and your girlfriend's car is cool too. I love the rumble of the 3.4!

Re: 1996 Buick Riviera (Now With Pics!!!!)

Congrats on one of my favorite personal luxury coupes of all time.

That styling is really nice and the tech specs on it are great too.

How many miles? How much did you pay?

Your girlfriends house and car are sharp.

Lets see photos of her too!

Best of luck with your first car.

Drive safe and be careful. Thats a really nice ride and you want to take care of it.

Parking lots are the danger zone. Drive very carefully in them and be aware most drivers are out of their minds in them so be extremely defensive in them.

I mention that because your car is such a styling beauty.

I'd say. With any luck that thing should be a nice collector's item in a couple of decades. Talk about a long term investment.

The interior looks a lot better in real life than it does in the picture, i think the flash made it look too bright.

Nice car...boy, do I know that color of blue for the interior. Nothing wrong with it...just a bit too much of it.
