I am sure you are right. I have spent plenty of time in Orlando, but that is filled with just as many tourists and snowbirds as any place on the coast. I have crossed inland areas several times, but never stayed in them (with the exception of Orlando) for an appreciable amount of time. My vacations to Florida were to Fort Myers where my grandparents have a house, with twice going to Orlando. My other trip to Florida was a marching band trip where we stopped at the Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, then stayed in Orlando.

Detroit invented Devil's Night back in the early '80s when it became customary to try and burn down as much of the city as possible on the night before Halloween. The news reporters started referring to it as "Devil's Night" and the name stuck. They have been trying to call it "Angel's Night" for about 5 or 6 years now.

That is where D12 got their album name for their 2001 release.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

75% Dixie...granted I'm in Texas but I clearly do not feel Hick, redneck, or "hee-haw". Nor do I carry a strong "southern draw". Additionally, I'm originally from Washington State (go seahawks). Hmmm, I think there is either something flawed with this testing procedure or I am a victim of my own environment (I've been a Texas resident since 92.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

I got 64% Dixie. Which is suprising really, because I from Australia. Oh well I am further south than most Southerns.
