Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

"55% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category."

I blame the tons of Stephen King stories set in New England that I read.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

I was 41% but I changed one of my answers from Tennis Shoes to Gym Shoes and apparently that messes up the score. So I guess with Gym Shoes it would be 38%.

Everything pegged to the Great Lakes/Michigan I picked (like Pop, Devil's Night, etc).

Pretty much you can tell I am from Michigan.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

I'm appalled. 52% Dixie (barely Dixie). I should be far far less than that.

I blame the thousands of snowbirds from all over the country who live in Florida. I have been to Florida 7 times, and only in the northern part of the state have I heard a southern accent. Everyone else speaks like....me.

48% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

I live in South Bend, IN, so it fits.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

78% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!

I'm kind of surprised it didn't ask what "fixin' to" means lol.

39% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee.

As I suspected...

I thought I would be more Yankee than that. They should ask whether you "watch" or "look at" the TV.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

Neither. All of that was a very long time ago, and it is very far past time to get over it!

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

Ugh...I got 56% (Dixie).

I guess even though being from California, the 13 years I have currently lived in the south is slowly consuming me

You're probably right on the coast when you go, you go a few miles inland and everyone talks like you're in the south and you see a lot of rebel flags on flag poles under their gigantic American flags.
