Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

"49% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category."

Phew, I was afraid I might have to renounce my Canadian citizenship, eh?.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

73% DIXIE!!

YEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA!

Although where I'm from, a sandwich is a "po-boy" and NEVER a hoagie, sub, grinder, or any of them other weird yankee words.

Also they left out the ONE word that automatically defines somebody as Southern or Yankee: pecan. I'll throttle the next Yankee that I hear say PEE-KAN!!!!!

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

50% Yankee. Since I live in the middle of the country that is not bad. I live closer to Nashville TN than I do Chicago.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

All but one of my answers were "Used commonly throughout the U.S." or "Used in Great Lakes/Midwest." How did I score 44% Yankee? I would have thought I would score 35% or less for Yankee.

EDIT: I just went through the test and made all the answers "northern." The score was 43% yankee. There is something screwy about this test.

Wow, 55% (Dixie). Barely into the Dixie category.

Not bad for a New Yorker.

"36% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee."

I expected that after the first few question results.

Re: Are you a Yankee or a Rebel?

50% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. But to be truthful, I am from west of the Rockies so I have no clue about the North - South thing. Here in California, south is LA and they only steal everyone else's water and Freeway funds.

Almost every answer I gave came up as being common in the Great Lakes area.

Who is calling the night before Halloween any of those things? Where is that common?

I've heard it called Devil's Night here in Eastern Ontario.

Its Devil's Night in Detroit mainly, anyone ever see/read The Crow? The Mayors office has been trying for years to get residents to call it Angel's Night.
