Haha! I love the Captiva! That would make a good ad!

I bet you this is an ad. Why on earth would a tow truck that has a vehicle up on the lift not have the brake on?

That's plausible. I was also wondering why they would leave the drive wheels on the ground.

It's an advertisement.

1) The tow truck was in neutral
2) The tow truck lifted the wrong wheels
3) The tow truck was pointing against traffic

It probably was a setup, but as a former wrecker operator.........

Once the wheel lift is somewhat attacheded to the tow vehicle, some operators leave it in netrual to adjust the wheel lift. Safer to leave the towed vehicle in netrual though instead of the wrecker.

Might have though it was a RWD, definatly not the first time I've seen the drive wheels left on the ground by a wrecker operator that doesn't give a crap.

If the broke down vehicle was heading in the correct direction and the operator though it was RWD, then he would have to face against traffic to hook up.

But it was a setup of some type probably.

Re: Woman Refuses To Have Her Captiva Towed

Why was the tow truck lifting from the rear? Is this a commercial?

The Captiva is a front wheel drive biased AWD vehicle....you don't lift from the back.

I hate tow truck drivers. They essentially steal your car and hold it ransom...the least they can do is not break it.

Re: Woman Refuses To Have Her Captiva Towed

Sorry to bust everyone's bubble, but this is fake.

But then again, the V6 FWD Crossover only had to pull 4 tons.
