Weekend car show, tons 'o pics (56k warn)
Drove to Racine to visit my parents the other day. Dad took me out to a little car show they have every week. Of course I had my camera along.

Awesome pics! A few things stood out. Did anyone notice the little white European convertible with a large puddle under it?
![]() And the green Dodge Polara sedan brought back some high school memories! I used to have a beige 1967 2-door. Lots of sweet rides there! |

Great pics, really liked the green Camaro with t-tops. Never seen a SSR in that color either.
This was my favorite from our show>>> ![]() Unrestored 1961 Pontiac Catalina convertible 389 Tri-Power with 33,000 actual miles he drove it up from NW Missouri to our show it wasn't a trailer queen like a few other cars that showed up to the show.

I noticed that burgundy Caprice Estate - Was Daniel Hillard there?
(Smiley for the person who knows to what I am referring)

![]() ![]() As to the plates, think of it this way: Daniel was incognito, so the car is also!

Very nice. I love the 70 Rebel Machine that is in the first picture set, and the 83-84 T-Bird Turbo coupe in the second. But I'd easily take anyone in a heartbeat.

Re: Weekend car show, tons 'o pics (56k warn)
The cars from the 1970s are fascinating exercises in excess and poor taste. Yet I still love them! That Lincoln Continental Town Coupe with the mile-long hood and aqua crushed velour interior and acres of plastiwood is a perfect example. Gaudy, tacky and overwraught - but they had character and opulence in a unique way.
