It could be that the photo was wrong, but I noticed an early 1970's GTO (late 60's?) with what looked like a Firebird on a cap in the center of the steering wheel.

This got me to thinking - just how many actual production Pontiacs have been tied to some kind of "Bird" theme in Pontiac's history?

Anyone have the answer? I can think of more than a few off the top of my head, but if one includes "bird" badging or emblem use, that number might increase quite a bit.

Also, didn't the Fiero have a bird in its logo?

close... it was a winged horse. i believe that at one point pontiac actually considered calling the fiero "pegasus".

Well in spanish Fiero means agressive, I don't know what means in other languages.
