Original Beetle 40mph offset crash test

Compared to the Golf after it, I'd say it held up well for a design originated in the 1930s.

Better than the brand new Chinese cars, anyway.

Well... The two front passengers are dead in the beetle and everyone dies in the golf. I'll ride a bike.

Wow did any of you check out the VW Transporter crash? Holy shnikeys! And to think my neighbors used to haul us kids around Cape Town's freeways in an old "Splittie" Bus.

That little Brazilian Fox looks like it stood up impressively well! I wonder how it compares to other A-segment cars.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPpU5azjCB8&NR=1 I'll take any of those and the Landwind and Brilliance over this. Chance of survival 0% or less.

Bah, it's hard to really judge some of these... unless of course the entire car crumbles into a little pile. I am actually surprised that the Bettle came off as well as it seems to have... I guess not having the motor up front to smash through the cabin helped.

Talking about this one?

Anyway, I would want to be an either of those VWs everyone forgets about the feet and legs which even in the Beetle would get severly damaged and you could possibly bleed to dealth.
