Modern GM Cars & Trucks in Movies
I'm looking to compile a list of movies (with links to DVDs) that have prominent roles for GM cars made within the last 10 years or so. If you haven't seen the first 3 I've listed here, check them out - there is no question that GM had a hand in them.
I will add to this list as you guys recommend them. I know there are a ton of "classic" GM cars in movies, but I'm looking for new cars (or trucks), even if the movie is obscure -- as long as the car is shown for more than a 10 second blip. 1. The Island (Cadillac Cien Concept, Chevrolet SSR)  2. The Matrix Reloaded (Cadillac CTS, Escalade EXT)  3. The Last Ride (2004 Pontiac GTO)  4. Bad Boys II (Hummer H2, Cadillac CTS, Suburban)  5. I've watched Matrix: Reloaded last week, just for the car chase scene (I hate how the plot is linear, predictable and deprived of any surprises and mystique compared to the first part. Anyway, it was funny to see a motorway full of only GM cars. There were Auroras, Intrigues and some Pontiacs, I believe, accompanied by Police Caprices and Impalas. Has anybody seen a non-GM car in this scene (18-wheelers and motorcycles don't count as cars!)
I started thinking about it actually and I found it really hard to be able to think of a modern GM car in a film or TV show I have seen lately. GM really makes so little cars that come accross as striking enough to be used in movies where cars play a major role... OK, I've seen the French "Gossip" ("Le Placard") in January, Gerard Depardieu drives an Opel Frontera there... ...while searching for a capture, I've found this site - looks like Ming wasn't first  http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_6821-Opel-Frontera.html |

I just recalled one of the ugliest GM vehicles ever, Buick Rendezvous, appeared on two TV shows:
1. Lynette (Felicity Huffman) of Desperate Housewives used to drive one (e.g. the scene where she forces her husband to tell her she is sexually attractive by completely blocking traffic on a shopping center parking lot) before she went serious and got a Maxima 2. Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) of Gilmore Girls was driven to hospital while she was in labor for the second time in a Rendezvous by her husband. Rory (Kimberly Alexis Bledel) declare she felt sick on seeing that and didn't want to look. No wonder! |

I watched Bad Boys II a week ago on network TV. Two of the chase scenes involved GM vehicles - a Cadillac CTS and a Hummer H2.

I saw a lot of Impala police cars on TV...in pretty much every police show.
I saw a Trailblazer on World's scariest police videos. They guy stole a TB, drove it really fast, hit some stuff, drove really fast again, ramed a cop car, then stopped, got out, and ran away. All that happened in like two minutes. When they have the helicopter, you might as well give up...unless of course you are in a 1996 Impala SS.

I won't recall the name or number of the episode, but on BBC's "Doctors" there was a lady who was running a sort of house for the elderly and had to go to see her, also elderly, mother. During the episode, they were repeatedly carrying her things to her Vauxhall Astra Mk4 (C) Caravan.

Thanks guys, updated the movies. I've also seen the Rendezvous in DHsws, among other cars that change a lot over the course of the show. Mike's Nissan Titan comes to mind as one in a lot of scenes.
