This is a good law.

An old law in Seattle states: It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon over 6 feet in length.

Re: A funny list of dumb laws in the United States

So does that mean that other businesses in America can only trade 5.5 days of the week. It used to be like that in Australia but now the only restrictions I can remember are on Good Friday and ANZAC Day (our Memorial day). Other than that most businesses cn open when they like. here in China a day is a day. Everything can open everyday it seems although most offices are closed on Sundays. factories have a day off per wek but it usually is random rather than all being closed on Sunday. They all close for Golden Weeks (three a year) but this is likely to change soon as it creates deblam (7 million people leave Shenzhen for the week).
In Victoria Australia when i was in my 20's you could shop for a car on Sundays (the lots were open) but you couldn't actually buy one on the Sunday which was pretty stupid as you had to take a day off work to buy a car or fit it in to your saturday.

It is now illegal to place a "for sale" sign on a car if it visible from the street. (Richardson0

This is technically the case in Victoria Australia but is only ever enforced (and then rarely) if the car is mobile.

Around here (Wisconsin), stores can sell stuff whenever they please (actually that isn't 100% correct. No alcohol can be sold after 21.00, except at bars and resturants. The same goes for firearms, minus the bar and resturant part). Just not car dealers. They have to remain closed on Sundays. Which is why every Sunday around here the dealership lots are packed with people wandering around looking at cars. Including myself.

As I previously stated, I like that fact that dealers aren't open Sundays. I like to just browse the lot, without any actual interest in buying a car. If you try this any other day of the week a salesman will follow you around like a lost puppy.

It's not really difficult to work your schedule around to buy a car. Once you've found the car and gotten approved for credit (if you're going that route) it doesn't take very long. I bought my car a few hours before work. Plus dealerships are open pretty late here.
