Re: Test drove 4 cars this evening

Looks like you forgot The Mighty Spectra! Not to mention Elantra drag racer!

All the discussion regarding salesmen's time, etc. is interesting. I am somewhat like mikmak, though. I can drive a car or cars and not buy for a long time.
I have looked up salesmen who have treated me well in the past and bought from them a year, two, or three years later. While that may be the exception, I don't forget a good salesman, and a couple of the smarter ones have had me as a repeat customer.

Arseholes, OTOH, will not see me darken their doors again. I don't forget them, either, even when I see them trail-bossing herds of carts at Wal/K Mart years later.

Re: Test drove 4 cars this evening

Here's a little update about the car situation. I decided to put my car up on a lease takeover site and since my payment is really low and I have low mileage the guy from the company said it has a lot of appeal. I know what car company I'm going to buy/lease from but am still deciding on the model. Once I get it I'll post pics of it on GMI.

I am going to miss my Grand Prix as it is fun to drive, comfortable and reliable. However its gas mileage while pretty good for a V6 is not overly cost effective these days and since I don't have people in the backseat that often it's a bit much car for what I need.

You misses nice car by not also testing the Hyundai. As I posted elsewhere, we recently rented a Focus, but it was lousy compared to the Hyundai rental which replaced it when we noticed the front tires were bald and it was way out of line.

Re: Test drove 4 cars this evening

Well I now know what car I am going to get. I have my car listed so as soon as my lease gets taken over I am off to get my new car. I'm not going to say what it is just to keep you hanging on the edge of your seat (I know you won't but I'm still not going to say until I get it). What I will say is that it is not a Hyundai, Ford, Infiniti or VW. It is a 4-cylinder compact though.

Suzuki SX4 sedan. It's the Grand Prix of the little guys.

Well, given that hint, I'm guessing some sort of Saturn or BMW1.
My last guess is a totally refurbished 'vette (Chevette) diesel.

Well BMW1 & Mazda3 combined are lukewarm so since those are your last guesses you'll have to wait until I get my new car
