I don't want to rain on your G8 parade, but the G8 is a dead man walking. (Dead car rolling?).

Just like the GTO. Just like the GTO. Just like the GTO.

It has no image, it has no awareness, it has crappy marketing, and it looks too much like a Grand Prix to the average person. Ask your kid's school teacher, or your next door neighbor. I even know people who are pretty car-oriented who couldn't pick one out in a parking lot line up.

The other issue is RWD. You can talk all day long about driving dynamics and how traction control helps, but here in Denver RWD cars are maybe 20% of the market. Even most of the newer BMWs you see are AWD. In the upper half of the country, RWD is a liability.

We're all very well-aware of that. The fact that the G8 (and probably Pontiac) are as good as dead is exactly why you won't be seeing me own one.
