Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
Yellow is a color I find exciting, but it wears on me real fast. Give me Red.
![]() The lower gauges are a retro touch that wasn't good on the original and doesn't look good on this either. ![]() The interior looks fine in pictures, but some will still complain. ![]() I am thrilled that the Camaro made it back, and hope this will be part of the new GM! ![]() |

Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
Jealousy doesn't even began to describe it!
How was the MPG and spaciousness? Do you think you'll get an oppurtunity to ride in a Mustang or Challenger for comparison? Nice of you to assure us the interior is good quality - in a preproduction model, no less. They just need add nav, a convertible and a bit more tech like the other two and the car will be perfect. |

Spaciousness is incredible. I had plenty of leg room in the front passenger seat. Driver's side was great too, of course, Jim's a lot taller than I am, so the seat was back a little far. Rear seats looked fine to me. According to Jim, he's had people back there before, and they didn't complain about being uncomfortable or anything. Of course, you won't want to take the car to Florida with people in the back, but for use as a daily driver, the Camaro sounds like it would work perfectly. I have been in a Mustang, but not for very long. It was my friend's dad's V6 model after a hockey game. The Camaro's seats were much more comfortable in my opinion. Haven't been in a Challenger yet...I probably will sit in one when I go to another auto show.

Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
That's interesting. So once these pre-production cars are outfitted as production models and auctioned off to dealers, what happens? Are they sold as regular Camaros? If so, is the buyer ever made aware that they are purchasing a pre-production unit?

Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
No, I believe they're sold as fleet vehicles or something like that...a guy on Camaro5 has an Acadia that was driven/evaluated through the CTF program and auctioned off to a dealer who's daughter drove it for a while, and then it was sold to him.

Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
You are truly lucky to have a chance to spend some quality time with the new Chevy Camaro such as sitting and riding in it. Beautiful beautiful car.
I honestly can't wait to see it in person again as I've only seen the Camaro in person at the Washington Auto Show. I did not get a chance to sit in it though. Thanks for the GREAT pictures! |

Re: My ride in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro!
Agreed...how did I miss this.
More importantly....where the hell are the CTF drivers in the NJ/NY area that could have shot me an email, a text, hell...a letter to drive one? I echo everyone else, you are a lucky SOB. Guess Ill have to wait a few more weeks for my drive.
