They killed the Roadster after a short run when no one bought it in Europe.

Re: My review: 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Coupe
A fairly good (fair and balanced) review of this POS death trap...
The only thing I can take exception to is "The transmission is laugh-out-loud awful on a different plane from any other car sold today in the U.S. " that should read: "The transmission is laugh-out-loud awful on a different plane from any other car sold in the last 50 years in the U.S. " And in spite of this cars "good" crash test rating it continues to be in the top 5 of cars that are most likely to kill their owners.

Re: My review: 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Coupe
They killed the roadster. The thing was too expensive over here. Around 30,000-40,000 USD. However, Smart is reportedly considering a new roadster with a McLaren F1-type seating layout. Check it out: http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/242053/

Re: My review: 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Coupe
Nice review Brady.
Wow I never thought it was actually that bad, but seeing one "try" to accelerate away from a stop sign on a slight grade, made me wonder. This confirmed my suspicions that it is a POS.

Re: My review: 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Coupe
I always really liked the roadster. I saw one when I was in Poland in 2007 and thought it would be an awesome car to have. It would make a great second vehicle for cruising around on the weekends or when the sun is shining.

Re: My review: 2009 Smart ForTwo Passion Coupe
My thoughts too (maybe we just have one-track minds...)
Having driven one a couple of years ago, I can confirm that the 'anti-Passion' would be more appropriate. Give me a Commodore wagon with the back seat down any time...
