Re: King Riffle Drives the 2008 Chevy Aveo sedan
Huh? Not sure I know what you mean, but I almost traded up my mid sized GM car for a small car...until I drove the small car. NO EFFIN WAY. On one hand I had a loaded car with premium leather and stereo, completely payed for mind you, and I was considering an econobox in it's place to save fuel. How dumb is that I ask. I would have to spend $16K to save a few hundred $ a year...all in a tiny death trap. I drive lots of highway miles, and the only thing those small cars are good for is short trips. Nah, I spend $1200 to repair my car and enjoy it for another 2-3 years.

Re: King Riffle Drives the 2008 Chevy Aveo sedan
I'd prefer the Astra or the HHR over the Aveo any day its not that the Aveo is a bad car its just that the astra and the HHR offer more features in a more stylish package

Re: King Riffle Drives the 2008 Chevy Aveo sedan
true and the Aveo appears to fit in your price range but I'm just stating my opinion thats all. I sat in a first gen Aveo a few years back and while it did have plenty of legroom up front I kinda felt claustrophobic when i was in the rear seats

Look carefully at the Xd. Cheaper and more space inside than the Aveo. Good quality materials. Cruise control, electric mirrors, windows and remote locking standard. Good AC and heating. 140 hp engine all under 16K. Plus 35 mpg. One of the few remaining good Toyota's.

Didn't get your price range criteria.
A used Impala will probably get better highway MPG than many of these little beasties. Most likely better than the Aveo.

Re: King Riffle Drives the 2008 Chevy Aveo sedan
Not even close, and I have the records to back it. Driven equally, the Impala will fall short to the Aveo in my environment by approximately 8 mpg. Since I'm running E85 in the Impala, my mileage drop from my Aveo is 13 mpg.
