Great choice! The Enclave is the best of the bunch, American made, and supports hard-working Americans, including parts suppliers throughout the country. Your family's support for America is to be commended!!!

Re: Just Bought Brand New 2009 Buick Enclave!!!

Congrats! I can honestly say it's a wonderful wonderful vehicle. My import loving relatives are simply agog over it. Some of them went with my wife on a long trip to a funeral a few weeks ago and they've gushed about the Enclave ever since. That one drive has done more to turn around their perceptions than any of my ranting ever could .

As to you guys whining about pictures, the vehicle looks like this .

That's mine. It's a 2008. It has AWD, but you can't tell that from the pic and a black interior, which you probably can't make out.

JKR, enjoy the vehicle. I'm sure your grandparents will be so happy with it. I know we've been nothing but happy.

When my wife and I got our Enclave in late 2007 we were the only one in the neighbourhood and one of the few in Ottawa. Now, they're everywhere. There are 5 in our neighbourhood alone. And the other day I was behind one the same colour as mine, with a white one beside me. We were all looking at each other rather bemused.

My dealer says they remain hugely popular. Just proves that Buick can sell a premium vehicle and that GM can build a beautiful and well built car. After one year no squeaks, no rattles, no problems. Nothing. And it still garners a stupid amount of attention, as opposed to most other cars that people see.

Yeah, it's a family-oriented vehicle, but it has style which many family haulers don't. I think the success of the Enclave will be enjoyed by the new Lacrosse and the new Regal.

Zete, I saw yours. Now I need to see his. Its customary to post pictures of any new vehicles on this site. We will not let him off the hook.

About 10 l/100km which is about 24 US mpg. Considering the weather -- freezing cold, snow, ice -- is not bad for a 5000lb AWD vehicle . In the warmer months we get a bit better, about 25 - 26mpg.

When we got it it was no where near that efficient. It's actually gotten better every month since we bought it. This trip it was the most efficient, allowing us to go more than 600km on a single tank! We filled up only twice there and back, for a round trip of more than 1200 kms (about 750 miles). And when we got back we still had 1/2 a tank. So, 1200 kms used about 120 litres.

I know, I'm just in a good mood.

Hell, that means my avatar is inappropriate today .

I'm looking forward to a picture of his as well. Especially the interior. We opted for black but the cashmere is quite nice. We liked the contrast with the chrome the black offered.

Re: Just Bought Brand New 2009 Buick Enclave!!!

It is my opinion that the Buick Enclave needs an optional stronger engine... I'd like to get my wife into one of these but going from the 300C to the Enclave may be too much of a power difference for her (and probably me as well).

You'd be surprised, as most are, once they're in them. The 3.6L does a great job in these heavy crossovers, especially now with the more powerful Direct Injection version. It just moves and does so in a creamy smooth way. Not pushrod V8 roar, but again, you quickly get used to it unless you need a tow vehicle, etc.

I have a neighbor whose wife has BOTH an '06 300C Hemi and an '08 Acadia SLT. She uses both regularly, depending on the day, while her husband has kept his '99/00 Silverado for a while.

I LOVE the Enclave and still wish we had one...back in the day when I decided a Lambda was the perfect vehicle for my mother to step out of her Suburban down into, she drove the Acadia & Outlook first and liked them, but we were both blown away by the Enclave. Still incredible the little price difference, but the clear spike in opulence and that creamy silence on the road...I thought the others were already impressive, but the Enclave is a different world. Decided to really downsize and go with a Malibu, which is similarly impressive but in a sedan package, and still stare at Enclaves every time we see them. It made Buick, and now is still really the only worthwhile product for the time being.

Great, great shopping help jkr2106...I hope they love it for a long time
