Whatever makes you happy. Give me the same money and I'm buying used. And taking a nice vacation with what I've got leftover.

Re: Another Asian Car beats GM

I bet you this is how the Genesis was designed. Hyundai designers parked a Mercedes benz S-class, new Lexus LS, BMW 5-series and Infiniti Q side by side, and went around choosing their favorite elements in the cars and putting them together to make the Genesis. "I like the grill of the Merc, the overall front end of the LS, the side profile of the 5 series and the rear of the Q. Great, we're done!"

It's like a love child of a foursome, though I don't know which ones would be the males and which ones the females, I suppose the Infiniti and the BMW would be the dudes, and the Lex and the Merc would be the ladies. But still how do four people...cars, um, come together to produce one child? Now I'm confused...

Go buy a hummer. forget about your wife going on test drives. That is your job. What are you going to be doing next? Changing dypers? Man....
Well said. Don't let the woman dictate that you're going to buy this resale-value-dog. If you want Asian "luxury" you would be better off with a used Lexus or Infiniti.

I've recently heard stories of banks refusing to finance Kia's and Hyundai's due to rapid depreciation. Anyone else ran into that?

Can you absolutely, honestly, try to justify your presence on this website by constantly making threads like this?

If you say "freedom of speech" I think I'll throw up.

No, but interestingly enough....Hyundai will take back your car if you lose your job. Apparently without penalty...but I don't know the details.

And it smokes it in performance and looks!

The Genesis is broken when it comes to luxury per dollar. It's just too good, it needs to be fixed.

If there is a loan, the buyer is responsible for any payoff over $7,500. If the vehicle is turned in with a payoff of say, $16,000 YOU LOOSE YOUR CAR AND $8500 bucks. It's a marketing ploy.

This Genesis has a gorgeous design. Beautiful interior with sharp exterior trim. It's more likely a Lexus or a BMW. Also, it has a smooth drive too, much better interior look than my Accord. I don't think GM can beat this vehicle on the design.
GM needs to think about its design for the future sadan cars.

Re: Another Asian Car beats GM

I'm digging my 08 AWD 3.6 Di 300 hp sports suspension CTS and in my opinion its a better balance of luxury and sport than the Genesis...

but if your wife prefers the more luxurious Genesis then go for it.

its a fine vehicle as well.

Good luck and thanks for sharing your opinion.

Thats what these forums are all about.

What about the new LaCrosse? Sometimes good things are worth waiting for.

Wow. That was an extraordinarily sexist, derogatory, insulting post.

Re: Another Asian Car beats GM

The CTS is WAY too small to compare with the Genesis.. Even the STS is smaller.

Everyone was thinking it - just nobody thought it needed to be said. It's obvious. I don't know what he was thinking at that point in time...

The Genesis is definitely impressive. Hyundai knows how to keep it simple.
