Re: 2008 Hhr Ss
That is one good looking car! I love the blue and love the idea that you got a stick! The review was also what I was looking for with the HHR SS, update the thread throughout the months. I would love to hear how you enjoy it in the longterm.

Re: 2008 Hhr Ss
You have the same shifter that is in my Saab 93 ss. Probably the same transmission too. It will take some abuse, I have 76k on mine and I haven't heard any complaints about it on the boards.

Re: 2008 Hhr Ss
Very nice car! I had an 07 with the 2.2L for a short while and I loved it. I can only imagine how much quicker it feels with an extra 110 hp.

Re: 2008 Hhr Ss
That dark blue is my favorite color too. Nice vehicle. I rented an HHR in Vancouver, BC and found it adequate for the hills and surprisingly comfortable. This is why I note in another thread that GM could build a much improved Element than what Honda is selling.

Re: 2008 Hhr Ss
Congrats on the new HHR SS! Just goes to show that you don't necessarily have to sacrifice practicality for performance.
I noticed that the HHR SS and Cobalt SS have the same shifter as the Saab 9-3 as well. The transmission I believe is the same that was used in the 9-3 (they now use a 6-spd) as it is a GM Powertrain Sweden aka Saab transmission. |
