2007 Ford Mustang GT

I recently had the oppurtunity to drive a white 2007 Mustang GT Premium Automatic with 18 inch wheels. Here are my impressions:

Exterior:
Although white is not the most exciting color for a car, it still looks good on an 8-cylinder Mustang. The larger 18 inch wheels certainly help the appearance of a Mustang. The 16's on the Base look ok, the 17's optional on Bases and standard on GTs look good, but these 18's look awesome. This model also had a hood scoop that looked pretty devilish.

Interior:
The interior was dark charcoal with leather and the Interior Upgrade Package. First, the views are compromised out of this car, as is to be expected out of a sports car, but the windshield is a little smaller than I would have liked. The ergonomics and seats are good. Headroom was decent, as well. The dashboard was stylish, but quality wise was nothing special. It could use more soft touch surfaces. The sound system in the car is awesome.

Driving Experience:
Son of a gun, this car is fast! Want power? You have it wherever you want. Only at low RPMs is the car working hard to match your foot. Steering is quite good, though I would appreciate more feedback, as well as a little less body lean. It just did not feel tight enough. The ride was firm, but I do not mind a firm ride. There was a little float sometimes. Noise wise, I could hear a lot of tire thumping, but boy did I love the growl of that V8!

Overall:
The looks great, goes fast, and drives well. It may not have the best handling or the best quality interior, but this car sure delivers great bang-for-the-buck. It gets the BrickTamland stamp of approval!

exactly my thoughts. Ford will soon update the interior of the Mustang for those who while driving touch everything but the steering wheel. Very competitive, beautiful muscle-car that will stay fresh for the next few years or until Camaro arrives
