2006 Chevrolet Impala-interior

While waiting for one of my cars to get smogged at a Chevrolet dealership (friends with the dealer), I sat in an 06 Impala. I didn't test drive the car, but I was impressed by it's interior quality, fit & finish, and I think it's exterior looks very pleasing to the eye. I also sat in a used 2005 Grand Prix that was there, and it's hard to believe those 2 cars are on the same platform, as the Grand Prix didn't give me the same expression the Impala did. I think Chevrolet has a winner on it's hands, here.

Was it better than your beloved Camry?

Wow Griswold, you just gained a couple points of respect in my book. I'm glad to see you are giving the Impala the credit it deserves.

Which were you in? LS, LT, LTZ or SS?
Wood or chrome trim?

Re: 2006 Chevrolet Impala-interior

The impala really is impressive, the grand prix i at least commend for being better than the last gen, but that was when GM was still in the cheap material phase, that seems to be changing though. I saw a new impala on the highway yesterday, I does look nice in person, but the taillights are a bit odd but I can live with that part.

Re: 2006 Chevrolet Impala-interior

gris,

You should go back and test drive it...I think you'd be even more impressed. I test drove an '06 impala earlier this week, along with an '06 malibu Maxx and an '06 Colorado.

I'm debating whether or not to go test drive the '06 Mustang and '06 Charger.....

Re: 2006 Chevrolet Impala-interior

Good ... I sincerely hope you do. I was pleasantly surprised by each vehicle that I test drove, having already driven the Cobalt a week or so prior.

*shrugs*

Now, I just need to decide if I'm going to buy brand new ... or just simply get an older car for a nice winter beater of sorts....

You should go test them out too. You might like one of them better than the Impala or if not, you know you're car is better

Nice to see the Impala garnering more favorable comments for its interior.

I think I am the only one on this whole board that actually *ENJOYS* the Impala's read end and dislikes the Front end.

I think the rear looks way better than the last gen. I am indifferent on the front. I like the LT, LTZ and SS interiors.

Ahh, you're not alone. I really do like the rear end of the Impala which is very flush with the taillights. In a way, it reminds me of the Australian Ford Falcon.
