Chevelle's were in Canada. is the Pontiac Beaumont the same thing? I think the real major differences was that Pontiacs in Canada didn't get Pontiac V8's, they got Chevy V8's so we had cars like the 396 GTO.

Ohh yes the Beaumont was a Pontiac.I think the Canadian Chevelle's had their firewalls painted the same color as the body, not black like the US cars right?

I realize that it was a Pontiac, I meant was it a Chevelle Rebadge. I saw one for sale not long ago near my house, it was nice looking.

Re: 1970 Chevelle SS 396

Chevelles were built in Canada and in the USA. See http://www.chevelles.com/ for loads of info. Pontiac Beaumonts were only built in Canada. It was Pontiac's version of the Chevelle. You could get the SD 396 in the Beaumont. Many parts were the same as the Chevelle.

Look at the 67 Chevelle and Beaumont.

67 SS396 Chevelle

67 Beaumont

Look at all the different years of Beaumonts. http://www.classiccanadianbeaumonts.com/photobmain.htm
