Hi All,

Our Chevrolet store has 2 on the ground and 1 incoming. Here are the specs:

1. 2010 Camaro 2SS with 6 speed manual. Silver Ice Metallic with Black interior. $35,365

2. 2010 Camaro 2SS with 6 speed manual. Inferno Orange with Inferno Orange interior. Sunroof, 20" Polished Aluminum wheels, RS Package, Interior Accent Trim Package..Black interior with Inferno Orange Accents on front and rear seats, accent stitching on steering wheel, shift knob, door armrest, center console and seats, Black Stripe Package, Car Cover Red w/Black Stripes. $39,045

3.0 INCOMING...2010 Camaro 2SS with 6 spd Automatic. Transformers Special Edition, 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels, RS Package and remote vehicle start. $39,040

These prices are MSRP plus $595 for DuPont Appearance Protection. They are subject to local sale. No Maryland sales tax to out of state buyers.

Deals are available elsewhere. My autobroker will sell just above invoice but it requires an order. Now that the pipeline is full, dealers will no longer be able to get away with this type of theft. $595 for WHAT????????

$595, huh? Here some dealers still use the old "Doc Fee" ruse.

Rust and Dust was another one....DuPont Appearance Package is just that...wax put on to prevent acid rain/fallout damage. Basically you pay for the guarantee. If your paint fades or oxidizes in 5 years or 100,000 miles it's repaired/repainted for free. Same with the interior..if the stain can't come out, the fabric will be replaced. And say what you will...but a lot of our customers do like it. We simply present it and let them make their own decision.

I still pay a doc fee on every new contract. I don't quibble about it because the dealer has been so good to me over the past twenty years and it doesn't seem worth the fight over a couple of hundred bucks. What do others do?

On every deal. States have their legal limits. It is illegal for us to charge one person and not the other for this.

We use a different brand, but the protection and warranty are key, would you not pay $600 for a car that has nicer finish and interior on a used lot?

The Syracuse NY area (Central NY) Has at least 100 new Camaros begging
to be bought ! SS/v-8/6 bangers any color you want!
But most dealers want $$ over sticker on the v-8s and DOC fees plus the
special "mop n glow" pkgs. too!

Same as the Dodge dealers did with the Challengers a few months back!
Now they are also gathering dust on the lots and selling for under sticker
now that the hysteria has worn off!

Edit: Exactly what I thought. I just ran a dealer search. There are 20 Camaros in the Syracuse area. TWENTY. Not a hundred. TWENTY.

NOTE.......I posted Syracuse AREA AND Central NY so just add Rochester/BuffaLO and other local dealers too. Do the cars.com search and I am sure there will be MORE than 100 of them sitting on the lot as I posted. Sure is MORE than the 84 I reported
