1957 Oldsmobile restored to original condition

Might be one of only four Golden Rocket 88 2-door sedans in existence with the J2 engine. Love the two-tone scheme and beautiful detailed work!

That car was completely and utterly ruined by the suspension changes and the wheels. So maddening.

I've seen this Olds before... Absolutely Beautiful car. Though I usually appreciate a "stock" look, I actually like the chrome wheels they've put on her... And they're easily reversed, as is the suspension.

    I concour.

My hats off the restorer though. Other than exhibiting dubious taste, the resto work looks impressive, and that paint combination is very attractive.

Huh, I'm not normally a fan of huge wheels, but they look at home on this car.

Well, at least it's stuff like the radio and the wheels that can bolt off pretty easily.

I like the resto-mod look, so the wheels/suspension changes only makes me smile. Love them stock, but love them much more when they are sitting like that.
Many forget to look at the rest of GM's 57 line up, outside of Chevrolet. Beautiful cars, just beautiful.

The cool thing about 1950s cars is that they look wonderful on regular-sized wheels. This is like taking a well-endowed lady and squeezing her boobs with bandages so that they don't stick out. Really.
