To work or not to work at a Saturn Dealership??

This is towards those who currently work at a Saturn dealership

I saw in the Classifieds that a Saturn dealership about 45 minutes from where I am is hiring. I've been wanting to work at a Saturn dealership because I love the cars. I have no experience selling cars, but they will train. I'm going in this Wednesday to apply.

My only questions:

How is it working at a Saturn dealership??

Does it pay well? I know its a commission job.

Any help will help me make a decision. Thanks to all!!

Maybe send a PM to AmericanRevolution...I believe he was in a similar situation - hadn't sold cars before, and got into Saturn sales.

I would look for something closer to where you live. Driving 45 minutes to work and back will get anoying pretty fast. Working at a dealership is good experience. I learned alot about the behind the scenes activities from working at a Subaru dealership but I was never a salesman. Lots of members here are currently working at dealerships so someone should be able to help you out.

Re: To work or not to work at a Saturn Dealership??

Hey guys, thanks for your help. I took a drive today to the dealership and it is 45-60 minutes, but that was on a Sunday w/o traffic.

I'm still going to apply come Wednesday. Still, if anyone has any feedback or help, I'm still in need of it.

Thanks everyone!!

Hey man if you want to work for a Saturn dealership go for it. I know I'd enjoy it. It might be worth looking at moving closer to the dealership unless you don't think you'll mind the drive.
