Rear Saturn Logo Mod

I am looking for information on how to get the rear Saturn logo off the tailgate of a 2006 Vue. I want to put some LEDs behind it to make it light up at night with the rest of the lights. It sounds like a cool modification to me but I have no idea how to get to the back of that badge. Any help will be greatly appreciated and I will be sure to accurately document (aka: pictures) how i did it. Thank you.

I posted this over at saturnfans.com but i have not gotten a response yet. I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to help a brother out.

IDK, but it sounds really cool. As soon as you get it worked out, post some pics! I'm sure Saturn would like to see it too.

Re: Rear Saturn Logo Mod

I can't be sure about how it is on the vue. But I had a 98 Saturn and the embalm on the nose was held in with an anchor. the back of the embalm had a point and there was a christmas tree shaped metal clip on the point so once it was pushed into the body you really couldn't pull it out without breaking the back of the embalm off. Check out what it costs to buy a new one. It might be easier just to break it off and replace it with a new one. Also the parts department at the Saturn dealership can usually show u exactly how it is attached by looking at a blown up parts diagram of the vue's rear liftgate.
