New hybrid? - Saturn Astra (i saw it)

Hey guys,

I live in Oshawa and by the GM plant engineering office I saw a Saturn Astra and it had decals all over it (glass and body), saying it was a green car and that it was hybrid.

I don't know if I can get pics because of the security running around there checking around the lot. I don't know if they are anal about that? Regardless I think it would be good publicity for GM (free advertising).

Go snap some pics. Autoblog might even link to them. That would be big news.

That would be thrilling...

Mission: get to super secret Astra. Take photos. Get out. Alive. Post on GMI (GMI subsequently gets a cease and desist order...but its too late since all the blogs and sites and magazines already got the pix from GMI)

Re: New hybrid? - Saturn Astra (i saw it)

Last time I saw it, it was kind of close to the sidewalk if I walk by I can probably snap a few pictures side/back. Just at least proof that there is a car like this on GM's mind.

I must say I have taken pics there before just haven't been caught, I always go and see the cars there too.

I'll keep you guys posted, the problem is right now we just got hit with a major snow storm and all the roads and sidewalks are a mess but I will go once it clears out. I HATE WINTER!!!

Hmm... Nissan Tech Center here in Farmington has a Hybrid Versa that runs around between the complexes and has "This vehicle is a Hybrid" all over it. I think companies do this sort of thing all the time.

Go for it... if they didn't want anyone to know then they wouldn't have put the stickers on it.
