Money Back Guarantee
friends of mine are looking into getting an outlook and heard about the money back guarantee that saturn was offering.
They asked me if they still do and I'm drawing a blank, anybody out there know if the program is still around and what the terms are. I know for used cars it's 3days/150 miles, what's the deal for new?

Re: Money Back Guarantee
Saturn doesn't do a moneyback guarantee anymore (they used to). If there is indeed a moneyback guarantee, it's being done by the retailer, not Saturn.
The deal is that for 30 days/1,500 miles, a buyer has the option to swap their new Saturn for any other same-model year (2008 for a 2008, etc.) Saturn. There may be some more, more specific limitations, that someone else can elaborate on. I can't recall the used car one but I believe you're correct on it.

Re: Money Back Guarantee
Exactly like cdp326 said. There's a 30 day, 1500 mile exchange program on all new Saturns. You CANNOT get your money back, but can exchange a vehicle within the guidelines for another new Saturn.
As far as price difference, that is ultimately up to the retailer, but: 1) For one of the same price (say you didn't like the color, but did everything else), it's a clean swap. 2) For one with anything extra, you pay the difference. 3) For one that's lower...would have to be determined by the retailer, as far as a credit or what specifically they'd do. Also of note, whatever incentives were available at the original purchase are what you are locked into. Essentially so you can't swap a vehicle for another just to take advantage of a larger rebate. http://www.saturn.com/saturn/purchas...pLink=exchange That link hasn't been updated to say 2008, and doesn't spell out specifics on price difference, but that's how it still works. It's a nice policy still to have, as many find out they wish they got another option or a different color after the fact and still have that option easily. Dealers don't like it totally as they always lose money, for the vehicle they get back always then has to be considered then used when put back on the lot, as they give you back another new vehicle. But it's a small hit to make a customer happy.
