Nothing? Really thought someone would have liked this one, being a manual transmission and all!!

Re: Road Test Vid: 1991 Chev Lumina Z34, 5SPEED
Haha bad day man! I LOVE this car! I'd love to find one someday. It's so hard to find many of these older GM's in good shape... forget finding one with a 5-speed! I think that it's great how daring GM was with the styling... quite sharp for the day!
Without exaggerating, I think that that is a very attractive car. It has excellent proportions for a large FWD coupe. I love the silhouette. Long, low, and wide. GM really had something with this car.

PS, loved the quick clip of the Olds Calais racecar! Do you have the MotorWeek bit on that by chance?

Re: Road Test Vid: 1991 Chev Lumina Z34, 5SPEED
Very intriguing vehicle. I had always wondered why they had to ruin the package with such hideous wheels. That Twin Cam was certainly pumping out quite a bit of power for those years. GM really put out some overlooked things. With the Z34's 3.4 to the Beretta GTU 2.3 HO, they were ahead of the game in the late 80's and early 90's, but some how, just let go of a good thing (typical GM).

Re: Road Test Vid: 1991 Chev Lumina Z34, 5SPEED
Quarter in 16.1 sec? A Reatta, which I'm pretty sure is roughly the same weight, did that with a pushrod 3800, with 165 hp, not 200+, and with a 4 speed auto

Re: Road Test Vid: 1991 Chev Lumina Z34, 5SPEED
Yeah, but it looked a lot nicer than the overly done red Z34. It's kind of like the Chevy Celebrity. The celebrity looked great in gray and black (or even in white) but the VR model looked ridiculous. I wouldn't get a Lumina with a 5 speed unless I wanted to work out while driving.

When I was going to the tech college two guys had this engine, one in a lumina and the other in a cutlass. We dyno'd the cutlass it put ~190hp down to the ground.
