Motor Trend Review - Chevy Traverse

A great review, with several great video's as well.

http://www.motortrend.com/gm/traverse

My favorite quote:

"If you are going to be late to a crowded category as the Traverse has, you better be great. If you add all of these details together you'll see the Traverse has set a new standard"

Re: Motor Trend Review - Chevy Traverse

It was more of a sales pitch than a "review". It's a darn good vehicle though.......I'm not taking anything away from the car. My favorite quote (video 2): "Traverse rises above the crowd the 'Chevrolet' way......by rejecting compromise." Seriously? that is such a bold statement. The only non-compromise Chevy I can think of is the ZR1.

I agree. After watching it, I am still not sure if it is something from MotorTrend, or a GM advertisement run on their site. I think it is nothing more than an ad.

Paid marketing. It is in all the magazines the last couple months, I actually read it, not a bad pitch

Re: Motor Trend Review - Chevy Traverse

Yeah, its just a paid advertising piece that Chevy did for all the mags.
Is there a Traverse review out yet? The truck should be hitting dealers soon, no?

Come to think of it.....Motor Trend's SUV of the Year award edition is coming, right? Traverse is in the running.

The Traverse doesn't hold a candle to the Enclave.

Maybe so, but isn't the Traverse the only one of the Lambda siblings eligible, because it's the only one completely brand new for this MY? Either way, I think a win for the Traverse would be a win for all, right?

Why do you say that?

I can think of 5,000 reasons, give or take, to forgive the Traverse for being noisier than the Enclave and have a slightly less cool looking interior dash.

Otherwise, I'd call them even. Same space, same fuel economy, same performance, same crash safety, same warranty...

I'm guessing the 5,000 reasons are the dollars saved. Anyway, I just think that the Enclave is the better looking, better people mover. Cool interiors and exteriors are worth the price you pay sometimes. The Traverse is ugly compared to the Enclave... to me.

Everyone's taste is different. I actually think the Traverse and Outlook are the two best looking Lambdas.

Re: Motor Trend Review - Chevy Traverse

The Traverse looks the best out of the 3.. besides the Enclave of course. And If i was in the market for such a vehicle the Traverse would for sure by my #1 choice!
