GM cancels extra Cobalt production amid parts shortage

The company hasn't been able to satisfy demand for the Cobalt, a recent hot seller ...

Too bad. Hopefully they can take care of the problem and make what they need. I hope the more fuel efficient '09 models sell even better.

When they started it 20 years ago I predicted "just in time" parts delivery to assembly plants would be a cluster failure.

You need some inventory for when Murphy's Law takes over.
