Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

I wonder if these and the Aveo pics are the new Chevy look that was supposed to be realesed by the end of April. If not these cars look pretty good anyhow.

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

What are the major differences between the Canadian-only Epica and the Malibu? I know the Malibu's on Epsilon and for North American Market's while the Epica is a rebadged Daewoo for the Canadian Market only.

Nice Epica pic, though.

Hmmmm Daewoo's on a roll. Did someone from Holden take over the GM Asia leadership? Maybe he's influencing these better looking vehicles.

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

Oh man I hope that's how it looks! Though of course those sketches always look better... remember how slick the Pursuit looked? Have you seen the real one? Snore. Wow... it shows they have the right idea for the Epica (and the other versions). Man, if they can add some power to the inline 6 and throw in a slick 5-speed manual trans, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I love that GM offers the Daewoo cars in Canada. That's not to say that all Chevrolets should look like that... but it shows GM 'gets it', and realises that not everyone wants what they already offer. Choice is good!

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

BobaeDream.co.kr had a couple of Magnus spy pics a couple of weeks ago. Looks like the wheel choice is 17" and the taillights are not "metallic-like" as in the sketches, just regular red.

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

paul8488, I'm glad you mentioned this Epica in the Optra5 thread otherwise I would've completely missed it but wow, this Epica looks GOOD!! I can't wait to see pics of the actual car.

I'm hopeful that this IS what the Epica will look like, since the other sketches DmitryKo posted of the Aveo/Kalos refresh ended up looking just like the real thing.

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

Yeah, give me one good reason why the Epica shouldn't look EXACTLY like that! I love the cut line long the doors and into the tailight, and the shape of the headlights, and the cool interpretation of the new Chevy face. They've done BMW better than BMW! With those fender flares and big wheels that car looks awesome. Power up the inline 6, add a manual trans, and I'll put my deposit down today!

Re: Evanda/Epica/Magnus, 2005 refresh

I can see similarities b/w the Epica and the S3X concept. I see it in the grille, the slightly recessed headlights, and that body cut line, it's all very upscale looking, this s3xing up of the Epica is good.
