I can sum it all up in a word:

    Heavenly

And if you haven't seen a coupe in bright yellow, you truly haven't seen a C6. I know all Vettes are supposed to be red, but yellow really suits the car quite well.

A very nice car, indeed. There were a few pre-production jitters on it that hopefully will be worked out, but honestly, I would kill to own one.

That was a rhetorical joke.....the sex part. But not the C6. Here's the pics.

No offense by the original comment, btw.

Those are great pictures. You are so lucky. I love the headlights how the color of the car shows through. And I'm guessing the sex part of your post was removed as it doesn't show up on my comp.

Just beautiful. The new design reminds me a little of the C3. It looks pretty small. I'm still undecided about the new headlights. It's not horrible. They're certainly more European to me though.

OMG!! I love this car, and Yellow deffinatly makes this car just flat out sexy!! Damn it....and they say GM design is dead.

Few things I did notice on the car that strikes me as odd.

1- Thats steering wheel...lose it GM! 3 spoke people...3 spoke.
2- Is that a top post battery? GM usualy uses side post batteries....just something I noticed.
3- The clutch pedal, brake pedal, look to be aluminum...but the gas pedal? its black!

OMG, I cant get over this car. I still cant decide which is a hotter looking car...Solstice or C6. I need to see the Solstice is more colors outside of Silver.

Yea, I removed it. Modesty or something.

As for the interior pedals, I noticed that too. This is still a CTF (captured test fleet), so some things are not going into production that way. My guess is the accellerator may be aluminum by production. The interior is a vast improvement over C5, but the center console lid piece felt kinda cheap. Otherwise, very nice.

The other thing I know that was being revised for production was the clutch action. This car was very touchy with the 6 speed, and I was told that design is being changed to one with easier action for production.

That is a top post battery, mainly because there's not a whole lot of clearance for a side post.

And as for reminding you of C3, you're right. You really get that feeling when you sit in the car, and look forward.....you've got the slender tips of the fenders on your sides, and the center lowered between the two, with the exception of the hood bulge. It's really not noticeable from outside the car, or at angles, but once inside, it's REALLY obvious.

I'll post some more pics later, too.

Wow, it must be nice. I saw 4 driving through East Tenn. a couple of months ago and then saw one at Indy Superspeedway up close. They truly are amazing to see in person. The corporate pics don't do these cars justice at all. Have you ever driven a C5 GMMediumDuty?? I was wondering if driving a C6 would ruin the experience of a C5

The Corvette has not had a 3 spoke steering wheel since 1982. The C5 has a 4 spoke wheel, and the C4 had a 2 spoke wheel that almost looked like it belonged on a Celebrity than a Corvette.

I was wondering if driving a C6 would ruin the experience of a C5

I dont think so, I think that every Corvette is a driving experience on it's own. I love the C6, but I would take a C5 too, and be happy about it. I have driven both C5's and the C4's and both are a fun ride, the C5 was so far ahead of the C4 in alot of aspects, but none of that diminshed that fact that it was still fun to take out a C4 and thrash it a bit.

I've never driven a C5 before. I've had the pleasure of riding in a C2, C3, and C5, but never driving any of those.

But I don't think one outdoes the other. The platforms are evolutionary, but just because you've driven a C6 doesn't mean that it ruin driving a '67 427 C2. And as nice as the cockpit of a C6 is, I still love the funky digi-dash design of the early C4s. Weird? Yes. But unique? Rather so.

By and far though, if I had to own a Vette, my choice would be a yellow C6. I love the C6 styling, it's a sweet car, and frankly, I really like the C6 lines better than the C5. C5 isn't bad either, but I am just really fond of a C6. They look so much better too when you can gaze over one in person. Corporate pics never do justice, especially when only photographed in three colors.

But hell, I'd take any Vette anyone would throw my way, especially since my ride is only offspring of the fabled ol' Celebrity.....

Nice photos... a couple of notes though....

The dash and console just need to be redesigned again. It's just so plain looking. No character. I'm sure the material quality is better than in the past... but the dash is too plain.

    I love the headlight look!

What's going on with that emergency brake?? Just imagine if someone sat on it!!! :roflmao:
