CAMARO! - The Massive Never-Ending Discussion Thread

I thought it would be a good thing to start a thread here where all Camaro enthusiasts can post their hopes, dreams, bitterness, rumors and whatever they are feeling / thinking.

Imagine what a massive database of Camaro lore we could accumulate here!

In this thread, the Camaro still Lives!

Re: CAMARO! - The Massive Never-Ending Discussion Thread

To get this started, I have some Camaro questions (I don't know the answers):

* What factories (where) produced the Camaro between 1993-2002?

* How many 35th Anniversary Camaros were produced for the 2002 model year?

* What were the strengths of the LT1 engine?

Re: CAMARO! - The Massive Never-Ending Discussion Thread

nice to hear something about real Chevrolets.
I am really fed up with watching all those econo-boxes with sticked Chevy badges at my local Opel dealership everyday.

Re: CAMARO! - The Massive Never-Ending Discussion Thread

If/when the Camaro comes back, hopefully it'll be able to handle the taller people. That was a major issue with the 4th gens. I'm 6'5" and needed a shoe horn to get in and out of them. Couldn't get my knees below the dash.

No, they still build them in a new fancy camulflage paint so no one can see them.

I know the camaro was produced in Quebec, Canada for that generation, if they decide to rebulid it, GM promised that plant or the employees that it would be built there again. The only strengths of the LT1 engine I can think of is that it's torquey, good low end power, used in the corvette.

1.)
2002 35th Anniversary Camaro SS Limited Edition "Z4C" Build Counts

609 Convertibles with “MN6” 6-speed Manual Transmission

789 Convertibles with “MX0” Automatic Transmission

Total of 1,398 Convertibles

934 Coupes with Removable Roof Panels and “MX0” Automatic Transmission

1,037 Coupes with Removable Roof Panels and “MN6” 6-speed manual Transmission

Total of 1,971 Coupes

GRAND TOTAL OF 3,369 35TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION CAMARO SS WITH OPTION RPO “Z4C”

3,000 TO THE UNITED STATES

369 TO CANADA

2.) St Therese which has since been torn down.

3.) One of the strengths of the LT1 is it was made of Iron and can withstand higher HP than a LS1 which is aluminum. The LS1 is good to about 700 HP approx and the LT1 with the right internals gets much higher.

I am sure others can contribute to this.
