Re: Buy a GMT900 SUV, get a Cobalt free !

I've heard of Hyundai and Kia dealers doing that up here......but don't think I've ever heard a Big 3 dealer do the same thing......

Makes sense. Dealerships are already discounting trucks $10-15,000. Unless you really need two cars, it's probably not worth it.

Re: Buy a GMT900 SUV, get a Cobalt free !

Thats a great deal if you actually need a truck. Cobalt isn't the best car in the segment but I would give it a rating of B at least.

Get your HD weekend toy-tower and you get a nice daily driver at the same time......suppose it wouldn't be so bad if you drove the Cobalt 90% of the time.....

When I was kid, I remember Nissan selling pickups and Sentras for one cheap price, and Ford doing the same thing with Rangers and Escorts. (Seattle area)

Someone else did this a few years back, I think it was Ford when they had the Lincoln Blackwood.

A Ford dealership did the same thing a year or so ago. Buy an F-series and get a Ford Focus free.

You are probably better off taking the $15,000 instead and putting it in the bank.

A local Ford dealership did that just recently; in fact I think they may still be doing it. But I think the catch is that you only get a free lease; the car isn't yours free and clear.
