Let's just get an AWD Impala SS to market first. But honestly no reason a coupe couldn't be offered.

I can't even tell that is a chop - looks real down to the reflections in the paint. I'm extremely impessed by your abilities! Looks great - GM should build it.

Really wish GM would do a full size coupe like this one just for the hell of it.

It makes sense to bring back the Monte Carlo if the Camaro is downsizing.

I'll let you in on a secret. You save a copy of the original pic and keep it open so that after you make the changes you can check how the reflections have changed. Then you copy and paste the original reflections from the original pic back onto the chopped pic and trim them to fit around the changes. If you need to cover over old door shut lines etc and you don't have enough original reflections you can simply resize the reflections to make them a bit wider or taller, as you need, and nobody will notice the difference.

Same with lowering the roofline. Instead of trying to compress just the car from the windows up, and having it not fit with the background, you grab the whole picture from the bottom of the windows up and shrink it all. Then you grab all the trees and sky above the car roof and expand it back up larger again. Nobody notices that the people and background between the lower windows and the roofline are a little squatter than they should be... everything seems normal.

Its tricks like that that let you do things fast that others take ages to do by more meticulous methods, and they look more fiddled with. I like to leave the picture as untouched as possible. Most chops look really rendered because they especially mess up the reflections - which are what give the pic that realistic look. If I make a lot of rendering changes I always like to copy fresh 'skin' and reflections back onto the finished car from the original copy of the pic to take it back to that photo realistic look...

An example of how you can copy skin onto a chop is below. I took the top pic and copied the side skin onto it from the bottom pic to get the middle pic. Once I copied the side and it's reflections from the grey vehicle I darkened them until they were nearly black and matched the top vehicle color then pasted them on.

Another example is below. The original chop was white and I wanted to make it black. So I took the side reflections from the bottom Caddy chop I had done previously (which I copied the reflections from a black Jaguar onto in the first place) and copied them onto the Monza chop to turn it from white to black...

Why on Earth would a 2 door Impala need to be called Monte Carlo?
Pony Car: an affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image and an available V8.

Especially if it comes with AWD and a TT 3.6. It would be a great performing vehicle for people who want something different than a Camaro. I would love to see another class for Ford and Chevy to compete (since Chevy doesn't have an ST competitor). This would be perfect against the SHO and with them competing against each other they would both continue to improve dramatically.

    Re: 2015 Impala Coupe SS

Monaro????????????? as usual I love your work!

Is there any way to take the current Caprice/Jag XJ dimensions with the long front, very short front overhang, and long Dash to front wheel ratio, and mix it with the new Impala. maybe take the rear half Impala from the back door back while using the styling on the doors, but have the caprice front door forward which will give the Impala the sleek fast while standing still look, then put the Impala front end on it, just with a very short flat overhang. Now that car would have a been stunning, using the sleek Caprice/Jaguar XJ profile, then lower the stance tad bit, and bang there you have it! IMO, I fell that is what the Zeta Impala would have possibly looked like. I must say the Impala is okay, but it looks like a crossover sitting a little to high, and the profile is terrible being its FWD, but it is leaps and bounds better then the previous version, but I will never say its the best looking Chevy Sedan in Decades no way. 60's, 70's, and 80's are all better, box Caprices are timeless, The 1996 Impala/Caprice looked better, and I actually like the Current Caprice better, even the SS, but I can say its the best looking FWD Impala ever.
