CyberNOX,

How do you like the 19" wheels? They were the one option of the LTZ I bought (still waiting to receive it), that I wasn't sure I wanted. Have you driven a NOX with the 17 or 18" to compare the 19's to?

I had the USB Port back-fitted today and it works perfectly with an iPod or thumb drive. It's a little more effort to install than I or my service department had first anticipated. It took them about 5 hours to install, and that includes going through 35 pages of instructions, removing the center console, and re-programming the computer to recognize it.

According to the GM rep who was assigned to me, this was a supplier issue. Most 2010 Equinox's that came off the line in the past month or so do not have the port even though the invoice and the window sticker say it should be included. GM is offering a $75 refund if you don't want it. If you do, I suggest calling the Chevy Customer Service number in the back of the manual and get a case number assigned. GM will then make the parts available for dealer installation.

I'm glad I had it installed. It's a great feature.
I was at the dealer today to have mine installed. It's in, but the radio
doesn't recognize it. They tried to reprogram the radio, but couldn't.

What's the name and service number of your Dealer? Perhaps I can give it to mine.

Speaking of mods, well not not really a mod, I always buy front seat seat covers, when I buy a new vehicle. It'll probably be a while before custom fitted one's are out But any that might fit the 2010 Nox?
Did you ever find seat covers?? I should be getting my Nox this week sometime and want to have them ready if they are out there.

Thanks

As far as I know, there's nothing specific to the 2010 Nox, yet. I browsed some generic one size "kinda" fits all, but didn't buy yet.

The Kragen by my house told me to just take whatever I thought would work and try them on until something fits. Nice of them I thought. They let me walk out of the store with several window shades, to try in my window, until I found a good match. When I have some time, I'll go back and see if I might get lucky with an off the shelf brand. As far as I can tell there's nothing for the '10 yet. The Chevy accessory page still shows the '09 accessories. I want to get a cargo organizer, so stuff doesn't shift while driving. I might just try to customize something in the mean time. Anyone with ideas on this subject??
Please report back if you find some covers and I'll do the same.
Maybe start another thread for seat covers too.

My dealer is Healey Chevrolet-Buick in Goshen, NY. Their number is 845-294-6171. Ask for Sean in Service. He or one of the techs who worked on my Equinox should be able to explain what's involved.

Good luck. Let me know what happens.

Thanks, I gave the information to the Service Manager.

They should be standard equipment on this all new design. Kia and Hyundai have them on most of there cars as std, even the smaller ones.

Wink Re: 2010 Equinox USB Port

We ordered our Nox back in August. We should be taking delivery around the first of November. Hopefully the LTZ we ordered will have the USB already there as we really liked this feature.

We ordered the Mocha Steel w/black/brownstone interior. Added the V6 and sunroof as our only options. Our first crossover after years of Pontiac cars...hope we LOVE it!!

From what I learned about the USB issue, it was a supplier problem so they were in scarce supply during the initial builds. The LTZs seemed to get preferential treatment so you should get it. If not, call Chevy Customer Service and mention that it's supposed to be standard on the LTZ and you specifically wanted that feature. Chevy should then assign you a case number and make the part available for dealer installation. I think you'll love it. Good luck!

Question Re: 2010 Equinox USB Port

We were listening to our ipod today (for about 2 hours) when we heard a pop, the audio console went black, the dvd in the drive kicked itself out. It looked like the system reset itself and the ipod came back on. Any body else had anythhing this strange happen? Note: the turn indicator sound turn off (but turned back on after we started the car later that day).

Weird eh?
